October Toddler Hike - Thursday, October 14, 10-11am at Old Field Preserve.
Toddlers can socialize while exploring the preserve that will be changing with the season.
This program allows toddlers to walk at their own pace, stopping to explore along the way. By returning to the same preserve every month, participants can observe the changes they see in the landscape, fostering a keen awareness of seasons and the cycles of nature. October is a time of change in the preserve, and much of the foliage will be changing color. Sturdy shoes and layers are recommended. Heavy rain and other inclement weather will cancel (we will still hike in light rain).
The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway.
Advance registration is appreciated so we can plan for volunteers and communicate any changes with you), but is no longer required. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/october-toddler-hike-tickets-179547630797
