We are pleased to announce that Nature Buddies, led by our nature education specialist, Deanna Novak, will start again soon for an 8-week fall session! Registration is OPEN NOW — the program will start on September 19th. If you don't already have an account, you will need to create one at lewisbororecreation.com (there is a box on their homepage that says "Create An Account") that will take you to a form to complete.
Here are more details about LLT's Nature Buddies program:
Toddlers and their caregivers will explore the natural world through nature walks, stories, songs, art, and engineering projects during this 8-week program. Deanna Novak is a nature-based early education specialist who will offer seasonally relevant themes each week. Children attending should be able to walk independently (or get a piggyback ride from their caregiver) as the nature trails are not stroller friendly. Babies under 10 months are welcome to tag along in carriers. This is an outdoor, all-weather program. However, we will have access to the farmhouse for use of bathroom facilities and in case of unpleasant or inclement weather.
