Join us to celebrate American Hiking Society’s National “Take a Hike” Day with naturalist Jim Nordgren. Explore both the East and West loop trails at Onatru Farm Park and Preserve (about 2 miles in all) with Jim. Each loop offers its own interesting habitats: the East loop has a meadow, hard woods, and a stand of Scotch pine trees, whereas the West loop has marshlands and a pond. 

Onatru Farm Park is located at 99 Elmwood Rd. in South Salem. Drive to the back of the park to the large parking lot by the tennis courts, playground and baseball fields. Sturdy shoes good for muddy conditions are recommended. Dogs on leash welcome. Steady rain cancels.

Space is limited to 30 participants (15 WITH headsets, and 15 WITHOUT headsets). Please select your ticket preference when you REGISTER HERE, and please remember to cancel or inform us if you’re unable to make it.
