Join Peggy and Jim Nordgren for a guided fall hike of Brownell Preserve’s Blue Trail, a loop trail about 2 miles long that covers heavily forested, hilly terrain, and then follows the path of a stream running along the northern boundary. There are scenic views across to Lake Katonah and beyond. Peggy will lead a fast-paced hike at the front (ticket WITHOUT headsets), while naturalist Jim will lead a slower-paced group interested in learning about flora and fauna found along the trail (ticket WITH headset).
This hike is rated moderate and recommended for ages 5 & up. Sturdy shoes are recommended and dogs on leash are welcome. Steady rain cancels.
Registration is required! Please reserve the ticket(s) you want as space is limited to 15 hikers WITHOUT headsets, and 15 WITH headsets. If you are unable to make it please cancel your registration or let us know.
Brownell Preserve is located at 5 Harriet Lane in Goldens Bridge, right off Route 138 near Increase Miller Elementary School. Limited parking is available, so please consider carpooling.
