Grandparents Day Nature Walk - Sunday, September 12, 2021, 11am-12pm at Old Field Preserve in Waccabuc

Grab your grandkids and join us for a nature walk on Grandparents Day, Sept. 12th!

We invite you to join us for a guided walk along the Nature Trail at the Old Field Preserve in Waccabuc with your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, or neighbors. The hike will be from 11-12:00. If you’d like to bring lunch, you can enjoy it after the hike in the lovely, shaded Meditation Garden at Old Field.

We have a limited number of headsets to loan adult participants, so registration is required. Personal headsets will help everyone hear information shared and there will be plenty of time to share information with your young companions. They will also help with maintaining physical distancing.

This program is suggested for ages 3+, but all ages are welcome. Steady rain and other inclement weather cancels.

The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street in Waccabuc at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway.

Masks are optional since this is an outdoor program, but we recommend having them available for situations when social distance may be difficult to maintain.
