Naturalist Eric Stone, founder of Rewilding School, will lead a tour of Marian Yarrow Preserve while discussing ferns, deer, and the ecological benefits of native plants.
Ferns are ubiquitous throughout Lewisboro, yet often underestimated in their ecological value. This small-group program aims to educate participants about the value of ferns in our landscape. Two 1-hour hikes are available at 10am and 11:30am (please select the ticket for the time you want). For everyone’s listening convenience and to promote safe distancing, headsets will be provided.
This hike is rated easy. Sturdy shoes, long pants, hats, and water are recommended. Refreshments will be served and fern plugs will be available to take home. PLEASE DO NOT NO SHOW! Steady rain or inclement weather cancels this program (we still hike in light/spotty rain).
Marian Yarrow Preserve is located on the East side of Mt. Holly Rd., 0.3 miles south of Todd Rd. and 0.3 miles north of Holly Hill Lane.
