"Paint with Nature" Family Program

  • Old Field Preserve Mead Street, at intersection of Schoolhouse Road Waccabuc NY 10597 United States (map)

Create one-of-a-kind paintings using objects found in nature!

This program will start with a hike along the Nature Trail to gather materials (please bring a basket or bucket). We will finish at the meditation garden where local artist and mom, Jessica Soininen-Eddis, will guide participants in creating their own set of paint brushes and work of art. Everyone will also have an opportunity to contribute to a large-scale mural painting that will be displayed somewhere in town.

All ages are welcome. Supplies will be provided and refreshments will be served. Sturdy shoes, long pants and hats are recommended. Inclement date will be the following day, Sunday, June 27th at 10am.

The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway.

Advance registration is requested due to limited space in the garden and so we can plan for volunteers and communicate any changes with you. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/paint-with-nature-tickets-159233159667
