September Toddler Hike - Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 10-11am at Old Field Preserve
Toddlers will enjoy seeing the meadow in bloom, and hopefully see some monarch butterflies migrating!
This program allows toddlers to walk at their own pace, stopping to explore along the way. By returning to the same preserve every month, participants can observe the changes they see in the landscape, fostering a keen awareness of seasons and the cycles of nature. September is when the meadow will be full of insects and butterflies to observe. Sturdy shoes and layers are recommended. Heavy rain and other inclement weather will cancel (we will still hike in light rain).
The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway.
COVID RULES: Vaccinated or masked if over 5 years of age. Masks should be carried for circumstances when appropriate distance is difficult to maintain.
Advance registration is appreciated so we can plan for volunteers and communicate any changes with you, but is no longer required. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/september-toddler-hike-tickets-170230589275
