Family Holi Hike - Friday, March 6th, 2026, 4:00pm - 5:30pm at Onatru Farm Park & Preserve
Celebrate the soon to return spring with a festival of colors!
Holi is the Hindu festival of colors, celebrating the return of spring and love. While spring is not officially here yet, we can celebrate its fast approach with a hike through the warming woods and end it in a splash of color. After a short hike, ~1 mile, we will shower each other in color by playfully throwing powders, made of starch and food coloring, showering each other in hues.
This program is designed for people aged 5+. The hike is short but rated moderate for varied terrain so a carry option is recommended for younger children. The colored powder that will be thrown may be uncomfortable or difficult to manage for younger children. We recommend sturdy shoes and water, as well as clothing you don't mind getting temporarily colorful. Steady rain or other inclement weather will cancel.
