Pollinator Container Garden Workshop

  • Onatru Farm 99 Elmwood Road South Salem, NY, 10590 United States (map)

Pollinator Container Garden Workshop - Saturday, May 21, 2021, 2-4pm at Onatru Farm Park & Preserve

Native pollinator plants have evolved over thousands of years and are therefore best suited to the area's climate and are less susceptible to its pests and diseases. They also provide valuable sources of food and shelter for wildlife. But, they don't have to be planted in the ground to be beneficial! At this container garden workshop, local nature educator Deanna Novak will teach us about the different plants and provide recommendations that will inform the creation of your own one-of-a-kind pollinator container garden. A variety of seedlings and seeds will be provided. We recommend bringing your own containers, but we will also have some available. Please bring your own gloves. Hats and sunscreen are also recommended.

Steady rain will move the event to the following day, Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the same time. Rain on both days will reschedule for the soonest possible date. This event is best suited for ages 4 and up. Sorry, we do not recommend bringing dogs to this event.

Advance registration is required so that we can plan for supplies and volunteers. PLEASE DO NOT NO SHOW. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as we expect to have a waitlist for this program.
