October Nature Meditation

  • Lewisboro Land Trust P.O. Box 496 South Salem, NY 10590 United States (map)

October Nature Meditation - Monday, October, 13th, 11:00am - 12:00pm at Old Field Preserve

Celebrate the fullness of autumn with a restorative, guided nature meditation at the Meditation Garden in Old Field Preserve.

We come together to celebrate the changing seasons and honor Indigenous Peoples Day. It's a time for us to reflect on the land we inhabit and give thanks for nature's harvest. We will meet at Old Field Preserve in Waccabuc to share a seated meditation in LLT’s Meditation Garden. Dedicating focus to each of the five senses, especially while outdoors, will help participants unify and balance their energy with the natural world.

This program is led by Catherine Downs, a Reiki Master Teacher and a certified Forest Therapy Guide from ANFT. This program is limited to 20 attendees. We recommend sturdy shoes, appropriate layers, and water. Attendees should also bring something to sit on — a blanket, cushion, beach chair, camp chair — and perhaps a hat (or any other props) for additional comfort during the seated meditation. Steady rain or other inclement weather will cancel.
