National Trails Day

Co-sponsored by the Town of Lewisboro Open Space and Preserves Advisory Committee and the Lewisboro Land Trust

Lewisboro Land Trust will provide information on other Lewisboro preserves and have copies of the newly revised Walking Wild Lewisboro Trail Guide on hand. Refreshments will be served, as well as information provided on ‘leave no trace” principles and coexisting with wildlife.

Hike 1 - will explore the new Cross Preserve Trail and West Valley extension trail. Rated moderate. 2.5 miles.

Hike 2 - follows the 1st hike briefly, before heading to see some of the preserve’s historic ruins – the Black Mansion, Stone Cottage, Professor Crafts’ Research Lab, and the Reflecting Pool. Slower paced, rated easy. 1.1 miles.

Please wear appropriate shoes/hiking boots. Bring a water bottle. Steady rain and other inclement weather cancels. No registration required.
