Educational Mushroom Walk with Taro Ietaka - Sunday, October 5th, 10:00am - 11:30am at Onatru Farm Park & Preserve

Local naturalist and mushroom aficionado Taro Ietaka, former president of the Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association (COMA) and Assistant Director of Conservation for Westchester County Parks, will teach basic identification skills, offer tips on what mushrooms can be found at this time of year, and discuss the numerous and varied uses for fungi.

The hike is rated moderate due to the uneven terrain, and program content is recommended for ages 5 & up. Sturdy shoes and layers are recommended. Friendly dogs on leash are allowed. Steady rain and other inclement weather cancels.
