Earth Day Celebration Saturday April 24th — 10am-12pm at Old Field Preserve in Waccabuc.
Celebrate Earth Day with us and learn about "The Social Life of Trees" with naturalist Jim Nordgren. Participants will first gather in the meditation garden to learn how trees talk to, help and depend on each other! Then we can break into two groups for either a short, educational stroll along Lewisboro Land Trust's Nature Trail with Jim Nordgren, or a longer, quick-paced hike through the preserve with Peggy Nordgren.
Recommended for ages 4+. Boots for potentially muddy spring conditions are recommended. Dogs on leash welcome. Steady rain or other inclement weather cancels.
COVID SAFETY: All participants will be masked and socially distanced, with the option of using one of our provided audio headsets to hear the walk leader at a distance. We ask all walk participants to read and agree to our COVID safety guidelines and hold harmless agreement upon registration.
The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway
