Grossman Preserve
5 Ponds Dr, Waccabuc, NY 10597
The Grossman Preserve was created by the North Salem Open Land Foundation, originally as a riding trail. It starts in Waccabuc, off Chapel Road, and ends in North Salem near Turkey Hill Road. It is an easy climb through woods, following North Salem trail markers and crosses extensive wetlands. A small pond provides habitat for ducks.
Highlights
A good hike for children, excellent habitat for birds, especially water birds, typical mixed forest.
Directions
The trailhead is at the end of Five Ponds Drive, the first right off Chapel Court, which is off Chapel Road in Waccabuc. Parking is on the road, near the entrance.
