Volunteer Session: Mulch Spreading at the Meditation Garden - Sunday, November 7, 10am-12pm at Old Field Preserve.

Please join us to spread mulch at LLT’s Meditation Garden in Old Field Preserve where we recently removed ferns.

This will be a working session during which volunteers will distribute mulch around the fern garden to prevent weeds from coming up in the spring, and to enhance the look of the garden during the winter months after the major fern removal we did in October. We will begin at 10am, but feel free to come at whatever time works best for you between 10am-12pm. **We have a limited supply of rakes, shovels and gloves for volunteer use, but if you have your own, please bring them.** Sturdy shoes and layered clothing are recommended. Refreshments will be served. Steady rain and other inclement weather cancels.

The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. Parking in the preserve is at the end of the driveway.
