February Preschool Maple Sugaring Adventure
Friday, February 3rd from 1:30-3pm at Trailside Nature Museum in Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
Families will meet in front of the Wigwam before learning about how maple syrup is made from one of the naturalists at the Trailside Museum. Families will learn how to tap a tree, the process of making syrup, and will get to taste some! Any time left we can explore the trails around the museum and inside the museum. If the snow is good, bring a sled to brave the legendary Pell Hill next to the museum!
This program is designed for ages 3-5, but all ages are welcome. Sturdy shoes suggested. Heavy rain and/or other inclement weather will reschedule or cancel (we still hike in light to steady rain with appropriate clothing/umbrellas).
Advance registration at the link below is required so we can communicate any updates or changes to you: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/february-preschool-maple-syrup-adventure-tickets-517963240997
The entrance to Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is off of Route 121/Old Post Rd. just south of Route 35. After passing the gatehouse, keep driving straight about a mile until you get to a stop sign. The Trailside Museum will be on the right, and there are two large parking lots available on either side.
