The Lewisboro Land Trust is proud to be launching a Native American Acknowledgement Initiative. The first part will take place on Saturday, July 10th when Evan Pritchard, a descendant of the Mi'kmag people of the Algonquin nation, and a teacher of Native American studies at Marist, Pace and Vassar colleges, will join us at the Old Field Garden for a presentation and Q&A, followed by an optional short hike. He will be introduced by our Town Historian, Maureen Koehl.
Following his talk, we will install acknowledgement signs at preserves in our town.
More related events will follow throughout the remainder of the year -- but this one is first -- so we hope you will join us for the kickoff of this important initiative!
More info (including start time) and registration link (limited to 50) coming SOON!
