After enjoying breakfast in bed (hopefully!), we invite all moms (and other ladies) to ditch the family for a couple of hours and join us for a brisk social hike at the Marian Yarrow Preserve. Our Executive Director and local mom, Shantala DuGay-Iyengar, will lead the group along the large loop of the preserve, passing through wooded forest, wetlands, along a stream, and by the hidden lake. All adult ladies (regardless of motherhood status) are welcome, as well as babies under 2 in carriers and friendly dogs on leash. Refreshments will be served and flowering plants given out at the end.
This hike is rated moderate and will be about 1.5-2 miles. Sturdy, mud-resistant shoes are recommended. Steady rain and other inclement weather will cancel.
Advance registration is appreciated so we can plan for enough volunteers and refreshments.
