Toddlers and their caregivers will enjoy a meadow walk, a visit to a stream, and other nature exploration with friends. This program allows toddlers to walk at their own pace, stopping to observe the world around us, fostering a keen awareness of seasons and the cycles of nature. For June there will be lots of bugs and flowers to observe. We hope this introduction to Old Field Preserve will encourage you to return often on your own with friends and family. Sturdy shoes and warm layers are recommended. Heavy rain and other inclement weather will cancel (we will still hike in light rain).
The entrance to Old Field Preserve is on the East side of Mead Street (at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road) in Waccabuc. There's plenty of parking in the preserve and on the side of the preserve driveway.
Advance registration at the link below is appreciated so we can plan for volunteers and communicate any changes with you), but is no longer required.
