iNaturalist Bioblitz - Sunday, June 13, 9:30, 10, and 10:30am at Mount Holly Preserve
Join naturalist Taro Ietaka for a fun, communal citizen-science experience at Mount Holly Preserve.
We will offer three 1.5-hour sessions during which participants will start off learning the basics of using iNaturalist with Taro before going into different parts of the preserve to record as many species as possible. Please select tickets for the time you would like to begin.
In advance of the program, please download the iNaturalist app and create a user account. We will show you how to “join” the “Mt Holly Bioblitz” project upon arrival. The data collected will help with future planning and management of the preserve. If you are unable to attend the program, we invite you to hike in Mount Holly Preserve on your own time and record observations between June 11 and July 12, and let us know about them.
The hike is rated easy. Sturdy shoes, long pants, hats, and water are strongly recommended. Binoculars and field guides are optional tools that may come in handy. Refreshments will be served.
The Mount Holly Preserve entrance is located diagonally across from 21 Mount Holly Road EAST, Katonah. For more information about the preserve, visit https://lewisborolandtrust.org/indian-brook-assemblage.
PLEASE DO NOT NO SHOW. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration so that we may contact the next person on the waitlist.
NEW COVID RULES: Vaccinated or masked if over 5 years of age.
