Lewisboro Land Trust is excited to continue our new series of four season hikes that will inspire participants to interact with the natural world while exploring the art of poetry. Join Nicholas Lung-Bugenski – local father, educator, and nature enthusiast – for this unique outdoor program.** We encourage everyone to bring a favorite poem about autumn to share along the hike. Writing supplies will be provided for everyone to create their poetry as well. While there will be no stylistic limitations to the poems we read and write, special emphasis will be placed on haikus. So tighten your boot strings, loosen your language, and get outside with us to discover the beautiful **Leon Levy Preserve this Saturday from 2-4pm.
This hike is rated moderate and best suited for ages 7 and up. Sturdy shoes, long pants and a hat are recommended. Refreshments will be served, so insulated bottles are encouraged to reduce waste. Steady rain and other inclement weather will cancel this event. Save the date for our winter poetry hike on Saturday, January 28th.
Registration is requested to plan for refreshments and communicate any updates, but not required. Meet in Leon Levy Preserve parking area on Route 123, South Salem (1/4 mile south of Route 35). Sign up here:
