Hike for Health: August…Hike We Must
Join naturalist Jeff Main for a guided 4-mile hike and discover something new each month. Jeff's hikes are a wonderful opportunity to learn about the environment around us while getting in a long hike for health. Come just for the morning, or pack a lunch to enjoy at the picnic area by Cross River. This hike is rated moderate due to uneven terrain and length. Please wear sturdy shoes. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome.
Registration is not required. If you have any questions, please call the park office at 914-864-7317. Steady rain and other inclement weather will reschedule or cancel. Any location change or updates will be posted on the whiteboard at the entry gate. Entry fee will be waived for this event upon mention that you learned about it from Lewisboro Land Trust. (However, we do encourage you to support the park by paying the fee or becoming a member at Trailside Nature Museum because at the “Turtle” level, you receive free vehicle entrance to the Reservation throughout the year, and the funds directly benefit the park.)
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation entrance is off of Route 121/Old Post Rd., just south of Route 35. After passing the gatehouse, keep driving straight about 2 miles (past the meadow and Trailside Nature Museum) until you reach Kimberly Bridge parking lot. PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO GET INTO THE PARK!
